"I'm doing well, working hard but it has been a number of months and a lot longer than I would ever hoped for when it originally happened," he said.
"It feels like the longest pre-season I have done with no games at the end of it.
"I would love to play before the end of the year and I'm working hard towards that.
"I am working hard in the gym and on my rehabilitation, its tough sometimes but ultimately I just want to play as soon as possible and that keeps me going.
"After a while it does start to drag on. I am a professional rugby player and I want to be playing rugby. And obviously I miss the games and miss the highs and lows of the season
"My daily routine is coming in the morning, having a rehab session first, building the muscles in my leg and I do that for 45minutes in the morning and then it's an upper body session. As the months have progressed I have started to work harder on my lower body and then moved onto more fitness."
