King starred as a replacement in the club's dramatic 24-point comeback from 20-44 to pip Racing Metro 48-47 in the Heineken Cup at Murrayfield last weekend.
Now, with the focus switched to RaboDirect PRO12 duty, the former Melrosian, who started the club's 29-14 win in the reverse Munster fixture at Murrayfield in September, believes the players are in good shape to tackle Thomond Park.
He said: "The camp's been brilliant all week. The match against Racing Metro was such an unbelievable game to be part of, and the crowd were great as well, but we're realistic. It's been all eyes on Munster since Saturday.
"Munster present a huge challenge. They've been going really well over the last two weeks and have had some fantastic results so it's a big challenge to go over there - and the fact that we beat them at the start of the season means they'll want to get one back.
"It's another huge match but the guys are really confident. We've had threeEdinburgh Rugby centre James King is adamant that, while winning three back-to-back games has put the players in a confident mood, the prospect of facing the champions, Munster, away on Saturday is the perfect leveller. back-to-back wins over really good opposition so we're in good shape but we know it's going to need another massive step up.
"It's an important time for the club but you can't take your eye off Munster. If we go over there thinking about Heineken Cup we're going to come away with no points and it won't be a good experience."
