The home team dominated territory and possession but failed to find a cutting edge past Munster's well-drilled defence until Alex Cuthbert early in the second half.
Instead they were punished by the deadly boot of Munster fly-half Ian Keatley while they Blues had three tries chalked off by the television match official.
And while Baber was frustrated at his the failure to get back to winning ways, he laid none of the blame at his players' door.
He said: "We've created several chances in the game and unfortunately they haven't been finished off.
"That resulted in five to seven points and that's the difference. You play against a quality side like Munster, they came with a game plan, they stuck to it, and they came away with the victory. But I can't ask for more than what our players did tonight.
"There were a couple of decisions there which obviously as coaching staff we didn't agree with, and a couple of them were in and around the red zone as well. Not that I'm asking for yellow cards or anything. But I think this is a game we want to play, we want to play an open expansive game, and when you're working hard to get in those areas, to see points taken off you like that cheaply, it does hurt you.
"I can't ask for more than what they did out there tonight. As a group they're working their socks off to make it happen, some days it's not your day.
"I felt that we did everything right in our game we possibly could, but at the end of the day it was just a couple of kicks here and there that made the difference."
