Despite the loss in the Emerald Isle, the 20-year-old saw plenty of positives which the Warriors can use to their advantage against Tony McGahan's Munster.
Weir made his Glagsow debut in the corresponding fixture last year and he's called on the Firhill faithful to help make the ground a fortress this campaign.
"I think their three tries came from Glasgow mistakes so that's positive in a way because it means the defence was pretty solid for the majority of the game," said Weir.
"The tackle stats were up there so now we can look at our attack and sharpen that up a bit more ready for Friday night.
"Not many teams will go over to Ulster, especially in the wind and rain and pull out a result but the positive are there are that's good going into this week.
"My first start was against Munster at home last year, and that was a big occasion.
"Against these Irish provinces, they like the physical battles up front so if we can dominate that we can break them up with our attacking options.
"It's brilliant when we make a break and the crowd gets behind us and everyone loves that Friday night crowd.
"We want to make Firhill a real stomping ground for us this year, last year it wasn't the case, but we want to go strong at Firhill this season."
