After being turned over 38-15 by Cardiff Blues in the opening match of the season, Justin Tipuric's last-gasp try condemned them to another defeat at Welsh side Ospreys.
But despite being hit by that sucker punch, Bradley saw enough to be convinced their first win of the season is not far away.
"Substantial progress has been made," he said.
"We started off well with Tim Visser's try but we should have won with the Ospreys down to 14 men.
"Having said all of that, I'm very pleased with the effort the boys put in over the whole 80 minutes. We were in contention throughout.
"It was a much better performance than last week.
"We lost too many line-outs and allowed them too many line-breaks, but our scrambled defence was very good."
