Azzurri fly-half Kris Burton slotted four penalties and a drop goal as Glasgow became the first British or Irish team to lose at home to Italian opposition since Treviso and Aironi joined the league last season.
But while Eddie admits the squad were frustrated with the result, he is adamant they can bounce back in the Welsh capital.
He said: "It was below par. We showed what we could do against Leinster. That was an 80-minute performance.
"We know how big a game Cardiff is, we have a good record down there and we know we can get a result over there."
Eddie, who thought his time with Glasgow was over at the end of last season, has pinpointed the set-piece as the key to the Cardiff clash.
And the 26-year-old admits the lineout issues during the defeat to Treviso will need to be resolved ahead of Saturday's game.
He added: "The set-piece is a given. The scrum has been particularly good this season. But we need to sort out our lineout.
"It was interesting for me playing against Leinster because a year ago I thought I would be leaving when we played there so to beat them this time was a completely different feeling."
