"Coming here was a fresh start and both the coaches have been great," said Lamont.
"I am really enjoying it. Last year we didn't do as well as this year but I still enjoyed it all, I'm just enjoying playing.
"Coming here was an important career move for me.
"I was hitting a bit of a low patch at Northampton and I was recovering from a knee injury and I was not playing as well as I should have been."
The Magners League side sit at the helm of their European pool ahead of the visit of the double winners of the tournament and Lamont has faith that the Scarlets can come out on top against the English side.
"We have a back line that can carve up anybody," he added.
"We know what we have to do - We have to front up, be physical and take the game to Leicester. We have to keep our foot down for the full 80 minutes."
"There's a big history to live up to and it's a big chance. We're in a great position where we can qualify from our group."
