In the build up to the game Jenkins had been working with specifics in the scrum and monitoring some of the Scarlets young forwards and it clearly had the desired effect.
And Davies was quick to praise the work of Jenkins, admitting his tireless efforts had done just the trick to get their RaboDirect PRO12 assault back on track.
"The players have reacted very positively to him and he's been a great blast of energy for us," he said.
"The scrum has been improving and I feel Garin has brought a real focus to that area.
"I was pleased with how Rhys Thomas went against Edinburgh, he's playing some superb rugby at the moment, with ball in hand, has lots of drive and is working hard off the ball defensively.
"Overall the poor form has been frustrating as all the games were there for us really - apart from the Munster game.
"Having said that a lot of players have come through as well as a result of these tight games and that showed against Edinburgh.
"It was so vital that we had a win to sign off this block of games, it keeps us in the fight and we have a lot more options now when we resume again in the league."
