The Scarlets have slumped to four defeats from their first five RaboDirect PRO12 games but while they have been struggling their representatives in the Welsh squad have been winning plaudits left, right and centre.
George North - who became the youngest ever World Cup try scorer - has taken to the competition like a duck to water with a string of impressive displays.
Jonathan Davies has forged an impressive midfield partnership with Jamie Roberts, the pair will start against Ireland on Saturday, while Rhys Priestland's displays have seen him oust fellow Scarlet Stephen Jones from the No. 10 berth.
And while the visit of Edinburgh on Friday night is top of the agenda for Davies for now he admits having one eye on events in New Zealand has improved his early-season mood.
"It has been very pleasing to see how our boys have been performing for Wales," said Davies - whose troops lost in Italy 20-10 to Treviso in the last round of RaboDirect PRO 12 fixtures.
"We are very proud to see so many Scarlets involved and producing so many players to the international game for the moment.
"It has all happened very quickly but it is an endorsement of the systems we have in place here - not only the academy, but when the guys come into the first team."
"We'll be keen to get back on the pitch in front our home supporters at Parc y Scarlets, knowing how vital it is that we get some points from the game against Edinburgh and get a grip back on our league position."
