Bowe calls on Ospreys to continue charge

Bowe has been sidelined since January and missed Ireland's opening RBS 6 Nations fixtures against Italy and France with a knee injury.

But he came through 80 minutes unscathed and has now been added to Ireland's squad.

"The most important thing for me was to get through a game and for my knee to be fine, which I've now done," said Bowe.

"It's been frustrating to watch Ireland but hopefully now I've got 80 minutes under my belt, I'll go back to training and get back into the team."

The Ospreys cruised to a comfortable victory in northern Italy, running in five tries in the process, but on a personal note Bowe endured a frustrating evening.

He had few opportunities with the ball in hand and was heavily marked while he had to watch on as his wing partner Nikki Walker ran in a hat-trick of tries.

"It was one of those days but I'm just delighted to have got through 80 minutes. It was an excellent win especially since Treviso have a great home record in the Magners League.

"We knew it would be difficult with the amount of players we were missing with international duty. But we're absolutely delighted to have come here with a lot of young players and got the bonus-point win.

"We're happy with how we're going in the Magners League. But we have some big games coming up, with the international boys away and it will test the strength and depth of the squad. But they've gelled well and got the results. There's a great spirit in this squad."

The moved into the play-off places with the win over Treviso and host Connacht on Sunday.
