Tito calls on Blues to bounce back

The Blues had entered the Magners League clash on the back of four successive victories but they could do little as they were comprehensively beaten at Ravenhill.


But Tito has rallied his troops and insists they front up against Edinburgh on Friday.

"It was a pretty disappointing result," said Tito.

"We were in it at half-time but in the second Ulster really stood up. Our defence wasn't as hard nosed as it's been in the past but you have to give credit where credit's due.

"We're not out of the race yet and we have to stand up and be counted at Murrayfield.

"Normally we would blame our set-piece but our scrum went well and we didn't lose a lineout. They're the things that have creaked in the past were the best parts of our game so it's difficult to pin-point what went wrong.

"Not taking our opportunities has been a problem all year. It's not for want of trying, it's just not happening."

The defeat saw the Blues fall out of the play-off places and they now face a difficult league run in.

"We're up against it but we put ourselves in this position with home losses to Ulster and Scarlets earlier in the year," added Tito.

"Those defeats are looking like they could come back to haunt us. But we have to make amends with wins on the road.

"If we want to be in the top four we have to beat teams like Edinburgh away."
