The Irish side gained control of Heineken Cup Pool One with their 13th straight win over Scarlets in all competitions as Ronan O'Gara kicked them to a 17-14 away victory on Saturday.
It means they leap-frog Nigel Davies' outfit to claim top-spot, but the Welsh club will visit Thomond Park on Sunday eager to redress the power of balance and claim their first win over Munster since 2007 - a feat which Davies expressed confidence of achieving providing they play 'smarter' rugby.
"There will be no trouble picking ourselves up after that close defeat," said Davies.
"The boys are hugely frustrated with the lack of accuracy in our game and they will want to get back on the pitch, all guns blazing like we did at Franklin's Gardens and put in a big performance.
"This was test level rugby in terms of its intensity and there is no margin for error. We'll have to be smarter next week.
"There are still a lot of points in this tournament for us, but we are really disappointed we have lost this game.
"We have got to be really positive going out to Munster. We will go out there and have a crack at them."
An Aaron Shingler try along with two penalties from Rhys Priestland and one from Stephen Jones were not enough to overcome Niall Ronan's counter-attack try and O'Gara's four penalties.
And Davies, who admitted they paid dearly for missed opportunities at Parc y Scarlets.
"We weren't accurate enough and in the first 20 minutes we had a couple of opportunities but we were not sharp enough to take them," he said.
"We left eight points out there on the field from missed kicking opportunities and you just can't do that in the Heineken Cup.
"We had our opportunities to win this game but we simply did not take them when they were in our control. In fairness to Munster, they kept coming at us and they know how to win matches - all credit to them.
"They showed all their experience and tactical awareness and kept the pressure on us and we weren't composed enough. We did not do ourselves justice here today and didn't hold onto the ball."
