Ticket sales for Sunday's winner-takes-all clash are selling fast, with around 80% of available stock now snapped up. Supporters wishing to attend the game were today strongly advised to act fast to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are available via www.glasgowwarriors.org, by calling 0844 800 3490 or in person at the Glasgow on Ice box office on George Square and the Gordon Street and Sauchiehall Street branches of Greaves Sports, our official retail partner.
The pre-match party, run in conjunction with Glasgow Life and Clyde 1, will allow supporters young and old to gear up for the vital RaboDirect PRO12 encounter, with entertainment, signing sessions, and the chance to enjoy some hearty pre-game refreshments.
The party will take place from 12noon-4pm in the Winter Café Bar, beside the 'Glasgow on Ice' rink. The bar is fully licensed.
Warriors players will be in attendance to sign autographs and pose for pictures, with Clyde 1 DJ and Firhill match announcer Gavin Pearson hosting the event. There will be music, a guest appearance from Clyde Coo and perhaps even a sighting of the 1872 Cup itself.
Kick-off for the big game is at 5.35pm, so supporters will have plenty of time to make their way up to the ground to see Glasgow defend the famous silverware.
Fans attending the party are advised that charges do not apply on Sundays in certain on street parking areas of the city, including parking bays and single yellow lines in the streets surrounding George Square. Supporters should check on street meters/ signage for detailed information and to avoid any nasty surprises.
The Warriors pre-match party is part of a wider day of entertainment laid on by Glasgow Life and Clyde 1.
From 12noon until 6pm, revellers can feast on traditional Scottish produce, while the little ones sample a multitude of family-friendly activities. Everyone can also enjoy half-price skating on 1, 2 and 3 January.

Shaw, who scored the second-half try that brought the Warriors right back into contention at Murrayfield, thanked the Warriors support for the backing they provided at the national stadium.
He said: "The noise the Glasgow fans generated in the first game was absolutely unbelievable. From the moment we went out for the warm-up until to the very last they were right behind us and really helped carry us through.
"The players genuinely appreciate the support we receive, and it would be great to see a full house at Firhill come Sunday for what should be another memorable derby day.
"The draw at Murrayfield has left things really finely poised in terms of the destination of the 1872 Cup, and I know I speak for the whole squad when I say we can't wait to get back on the pitch to defend the silverware."
