And with a strong selection of locks at the club featuring Grant Gilchrist, Sean Cox and Steven Turnbull, Parker can't wait to get started for the Gunners.
He told the Edinburgh club website: "I've been here about a week and we are settling in nicely. With a few of the new guys, we went out for some food at the weekend. We had a chance to meet up. "We haven't been around Edinburgh that much so we were able to get together and get to grips with the city.
"So far I prefer it [to London], it's not so loud. In London everything is going on so you never get the chance to relax. So far I prefer Edinburgh.
"Training has been great. I've learned a lot on my technique and my lifting. Working with Michael Bradley every day is really going to help my handling and skills over the next four weeks. It's been a huge step up and hopefully I'll be able to improve my core skills.
"The facilities are great, the gym, where we eat and everything. Grant Gilchrist and I would probably fit together well height and size-wise but we've got a lot of guys who could all fit together with Sean Cox and Steven Turnbull as well."
