Lynchpins of the Welsh backline James Hook, Lee Byrne and Mike Phillips all made summer moves to France and with North's recent starring displays in both the Wales and Scarlets jersey there were concerns the 19-year-old might follow suit.
However the Scarlets wing - who has notched nine tries in 16 Tests and signed a three-year deal with the region in March - has insisted his immediate future lies in Wales.
"I can't imagine being anywhere apart from the Scarlets because we are so close as a team," said North.
"Most of my mates are at the Scarlets which is massively part of the appeal.
"They have been so good to me and they play a type of rugby I relish and enjoy.
"I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for a while because I am only 19."
