Lineen said: "Tomorrow's game is all about how we perform but I'd also wish the Borders good luck for their match. We're still looking to restore pride in the Glasgow jersey and it would be good to sign off the season with a win against an Irish side who have shown lots of commitment throughout the season."
Glasgow have signed full back Sean Marsden on a two year contract from Guinness Premiership side Bristol Shoguns. Twenty-six-year old Marsden, who was born in Stirling, was a Bristol U21 player before spending some time playing for Exeter and Neath and then re-joining the Shoguns alongside former Glasgow favourites Tommy Hayes and David Hilton. A prolific try scorer, Sean crossed the whitewash 13 times in season 2003-04 and an impressive 21 times in 2004-05 becoming Bristol's record league try scorer.
He said: "I've lived in Bristol for a long time now and felt it was time for a fresh challenge. Having spoken with Sean [Lineen] and after having chat with the other Glasgow staff, I felt that the club have some really exciting times ahead and Sean has some great ideas for the future and that is something that I want to be part of. I'm definitely looking forward to returning to Scotland, especially with the rave reviews about Glasgow from my Bristol team mates Tommy and Hilts. They always talk fondly of Glasgow and have assured me that I'll enjoy playing there." Marsden will be joining the Warriors ahead of the new season.
Sean Lineen added: "It's great to get another Scottish lad on board. He's a quality player, creative, with a big left boot and is an exciting addition to the squad and the way we want to play."
Meanwhile, Glasgow prop Kevin Tkachuk will be running out at Murrayfield next Wednesday in the black and white hoops of the Barbarians. The Canadian prop, who has made 51 appearances for the Warriors will line up against some of the top names in international rugby including England and British Lions centre Will Greenwood and Springbok Bobby Skinstad.
