The inter-city clash, between Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh, will now kick-off at 3pm instead of 7:30pm.
Rugby fans who attended any of the three Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests have also been handed an extension in order to ensure nobody misses out on the phenomenal free Magners League ticket offer.
Supporters who purchased tickets to any of the Tests against New Zealand, South Africa and Canada can apply for a free ticket to watch the oldest intercity derby in rugby history.
Originally the deadline for applying for free tickets was scheduled for Monday 1 December, but because of overwhelming interest the closing date for the offer has been extended to Monday 8 December.
In order to redeem a free ticket for a Magners League match, fans need to visit www.scottishrugby.org and click on the link titled 'Free Magners League Game'. However, don't worry if you can't find your Autumn Test ticket stub, simply call the Warriors ticket hotline on 0844 800 3490 and they'll check your details on the system and issue your free ticket.
Thousands of supporters have already redeemed the offer with their Autumn Test tickets. The first 60,000 who take up the offer will be able to watch the first David Lloyd 1872 Cup cash at Murrayfield on 26 December 2008, kicking off at 7.30pm. The deciding leg of the inter-city derby is at Firhill on Friday 2 January (kick-off 7:30pm).
