Looking ahead to the game which many expect to see the highest attendance for a Magners League game in Scotland, Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen, said: "Edinburgh are a quality team with a lot of heads-up rugby players.
"The Boxing Day game is going to be very exciting and full of movement."

The reigning 1872 Cup champions, Glasgow, have made six changes, one positional, to the team that faced Bath in the Heineken Cup at Firhill almost two weeks ago.
In the front row, hooker Dougie Hall is re-instated in place of Fergus Thomson having recovered from the concussion he sustained during the Bath game whilst prop Ed Kalman is given the nod ahead of Moray Low.
Captain Alastair Kellock also returns to replace of Dan Turner who moves to the bench.
In the back division, Graeme Morrison has recovered from the knee injury that ruled him out of the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests to take his place alongside Max Evans in the centre.
With Lome Fa'atau ruled out due to a fractured shinbone, Hefin O'Hare moves to the right wing and Thom Evans lines up in his usual position out on the left.
Supporters are encouraged to arrive early for the Boxing Day derby clash to take advantage of the pre-match festivities around Murrayfield Stadium - featuring Murrayfield's new big screens.
Food and drink will be available throughout the stadium and Murrayfield's President's Suite in the west stand is open to everyone (capacity restrictions apply).
Also, the first 300 adult fans in the President's Suite will be entitled to free mince pies and mulled wine.
Traffic Police have also issued some important information regarding car parking around the stadium - log onto www.glasgowwarriors.org or www.edinburghrugby.org for more game and travel information.
Those attending the match on Boxing Day are reminded that public transport in Edinburgh will be limited (further details are available at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/transportedinburgh/Buses and www.lothianbuses.com)
