Overnight snow and frost created hazardous conditions throughout the West of Ireland but the Sportsground surface is not impacted.
Supporters are asked to travel early to the game as traffic is expected to heavy in and around Galway city throughout the afternoon and evening.

In a reshuffled backline, Matt Mostyn moves from the wing to partner Mel Deane in the centre, with his place on the wing taken by Darren Yapp. Ballina native Peter Durcan has been called up to the squad to take Yapp's place on the bench.
