Having picked up four bonus points from six league matches this season, a win against the second-placed Welshmen could put the club in touching distance of the play-offs, as they strive to buck the trend of their recent run.
Edinburgh Rugby and Scotland centre, Nick De Luca, said: "The players are hurting, and we know the fans are hurting too after the last couple of weeks.
"We have high expectations going into every match and want to win, but we must put a stop to the recent trend of defeats this Friday, and to do that we must stand united against what will be a very big challenge."
Scarlets will run out at Murrayfield targeting a return to the winning ways that earned them the second-top spot before the European window, where they too lost their opening outings to pool opponents Clermont Auvergne and Leinster.
To build a black and red wall for the players' run out, the squad will kit out the first fans to the public bar pre-match with free supporter scarves, while club staff will hand out 1500 free flags to fans as they arrive at the ground.
Edinburgh Rugby lock, Sean Cox, added: "The support of our fans means everything to the players and we owe it to them to put in a big performance this Friday.
"Difficult times like these can galvanise a squad, and it's up to us to make sure that's the outcome. We need to stay focussed, go out there and get the result.
"Hopefully the supporters will come out in force, grab themselves a free scarf and a flag and make their presence felt as we go for the win."
