The chance for some redemption comes quickly with a clash against Castres and Rees is confident his side will overcome the setback both this weekend and at the business end of the RaboDirect PRO12 season.
"I can't fault the youngsters who have come into the squad this year," said Rees. "We know it's a big stepping stone for them, but it's the only way they are going to learn and become better players in the future.
"As much as it might seem all doom and gloom, it happens, its rugby. Now we've got to bounce back from the defeat and look forward to Castres.
"We've got much to look forward to. We want silverware and we want to make the league [RaboDirect PRO12] play-offs. It's important we achieve that."
