Robinson set out his credentials as a potential Wales star of the future when he scorched down the touchline for a 50-metre debut try against the Barbarians in the 30-21 win in June.
While the manner of the try drew parallels with Wales legend Shane Williams, Davies, newly installed at Cardiff Arms Park, picked Blues full-back Leigh Halfpennny as the benchmark to which Robinson should aspire.
Halfpenny only played a handful of matches in the RaboDirect PRO12 last season as his international commitments severely cut down his game time.
But he lasted the full 80 minutes in his five appearances and Davies wants to see similarly robust performances from the 19-year-old Robinson this season.
"Harry's challenge is to play regional rugby and play it regularly," Davies told Walesonline.
"Loads of young players have come in over the years and he needs to do it week in, week out.
"It is our job to help him come through and deliver consistency like Leigh Halfpenny has.
"Over the years, he has got more consistency about him and that needs to be Harry's aim.
"There are a lot of young players who are going to be thrown into the melting pot and they have to be consistent.
"They (the club's young players) have to turn up for work every day and put a level of training performance together.
"They have to rest and recover correctly, eat properly - all those things that we will help them with so they can produce performances week in, week out for the Blues and then hopefully they will get to play international rugby."
