Cuthbert rise a bolt from the Blues

The 21-year-old started the season hoping to get a few games for the Blues but has become a regular for Warren Gatland's Wales side following the retirement of Shane Williams.

Having crossed for Wales' only try at the Millennium Stadium to help secure a Six Nations clean sweep, Cuthbert could make a timely return for the Blues against Scarlets on Saturday as they look to bounce back from last week's 18-14 defeat to Newport Dragons.

Amid an exodus of Welsh players from their regions Cuthbert is ready to commit himself to the Blues and can expect a huge rise on his current development contract at Cardiff after his performances this campaign, which have also seen him rack up five tries in eight RaboDirect PRO12 starts.

The young winger is well aware he will have to keep performing for the Blues but for now is happy to be living his dream.

"Two months ago I was just expecting to be training with the Blues, not scoring a try in the Grand Slam game," said Cuthbert.

"It was an indescribable moment, one I will never forget. I didn't know what to do. Maybe it will sink in over the next couple of weeks and I will think about what's going on.

"It was an awesome achievement to win the Six Nations and, with the young players we've got, the future is going to be bright.

"We're looking forward to the summer tour of Australia. Hopefully, I will get selected for that."
