Eleven of Leinster's squad are currently in an Irish training camp but Kearney's comeback from injury offers a silver lining.
"We're confident that Rob Kearney will be available at the weekend and he can get his first run out because he's keen to get some game time," said Easterby.
"I don't think anyone finds that first game easy, you only have to listen to Jamie Roberts after last week when he said he felt like he'd been hit by a double decker bus.
"I guess the problem is a lot of the players in the opposition's team have had a run of games and they are well into the season and I think everyone knows it takes a good four or five games to get into a rhythm.
"Rob's no different to anyone else in that respect there's bound to be some rustiness there but he's a fantastic player and hopefully he'll come through OK."
Easterby also revealed there would be changes from Leinster's last RaboDirect PRO12 outing - the 22-16 victory over Edinburgh on Saturday.
It's the latest in a long line of enforced alterations in the Irish province's ranks and Easterby admits he's concerned.
He added: "From Scarlets to the Dragons we changed six players and then from the Dragons to Treviso we changed 11 and from Treviso to Edinburgh we changed seven again.
"And now we're going into this weekend with players in international camps so there's clearly there's going be changes again.
"From the coaches point of view we obviously look from week to week but it is a concern trying to get some rhythm into our game coming up to the Heineken Cup games as well."
