The Ulstermen finished sixth in the RaboDirect PRO12 last season but have flown out of the traps this year to sit top with a 100 per cent record despite having played a game less than the rest of the chasing pack.
They followed up their fine form with a thumping 41-17 win over Castres in the Heineken Cup and their next game is again in Europe versus fellow RaboDirect PRO12 side Glasgow Warriors.
And as last year's European finalists, Wallace claims the team are focusing on getting results away from Ravenhill and are dealing well with their new approach.
"In the past it was always a case of win your home games and try and win away and now we're expected to win away," the 33-year-old told the Belfast Telegraph.
"It's a different mindset and something you have to mind against.
"I think we're experienced enough to face that challenge well.
"And obviously with the form we've had we're going into the game as favourites."
Wallace missed Ulster's 18-10 victory over Glasgow in August in the RaboDirect PRO12 where Mark Anscombe's tenure as head coach got off to a flyer thanks to tries from Mike Allen and Craig Gilroy at Ravenhill.
But the entire team will be facing a new challenge when they make their first trip to the Scotstoun Stadium and the Ireland centre admits it is going to take some getting used to.
"Yeah it's an unknown quantity for us and I think they've even had a few teething problems starting off there," he added.
"I think it's got a running track around it so it's fairly open and something the kickers will have to deal with when they're getting their sight lines adjusted accordingly."
