But with Stuart Hogg's return to the side on Friday night against Cardiff Blues and the play-offs looming, Murchie is hoping to play his part any way he's required.
"For the first part of the season I was out with a shoulder injury so I didn't enjoy that too much," Murchie told glasgowwarriors.org.
"But I have enjoyed the last few weeks playing 80 minutes every game, we've had some good results as well.
"It's what it all comes down to the next three games really, you've put in all the hard work up until now but it's all about these next three games.
"We have to hold our nerve and keep doing what we've been doing, if we win our games we'll be fine.
"Hoggy's (Stuart Hogg) done pretty well for Scotland and it will be up to Sean what he does.
"He's a good kid, I like him. He works hard and there's no rivalry, maybe a bit of banter."
