The Scarlets will now turn their attentions to the RaboDirect PRO12 where they currently sit sixth, five points adrift of Munster and Glasgow Warriors, who are third and fourth respectively.
Up next for Scarlets is basement boys Aironi in Italy and while Davies' side have won just twice on the road in the RaboDirect PRO12 this season, they have won three of their last four games.
After their trip to Italy, the Scarlets then host Munster and Cardiff Blues and Davies has challenged his players to bounce back with three victories after defeat to Brive.
"We need to win the next three games," said Davies.
"We will all be disappointed after this defeat and it will be tough to take so it will be a test of our character.
"It is about getting a group of players together that can give us that platform and that is something we have to work hard to do
"We need that platform against the top teams in Europe to give us a level of possession."
