Ospreys' bonus point win against their Welsh rivals two weeks ago earned them a home semi-final following the dramatic draw between Scarlets and Munster.
The second-placed side had previously tormented the Cardiff Blues up front, securing a 33-12 away victory, with Leinster facing similar problems in Dublin last month - and Dragons boss Edwards insists the Ospreys are set for a grandstand finish to the campaign.
"I think they are going to go very well in the play-offs," he said. "However, people want to talk about our game with them in Swansea, but that match came down to the set-piece.
"A big scrum gives you field position and the Ospreys have one. They have a very powerful weapon.
"We saw during the Six Nations when England used their scrum against Ireland to dominate territory and ultimately the game.
"You can put pressure on teams with a strong set-piece. It is hugely important."
