The 28-year-old, whose last RaboDirect PRO12 appearance came against Aironi last month, will line up in Munster's British and Irish Cup final clash with Cross Keys on Friday before departing for French side Aurillac next season.
Despite being offered new terms to remain at Thomond Park, Fogarty decided to embark on a new challenge across the channel and it's a decision he didn't take lightly.
The hooker has struggled to make an impact this season with Damien Varley, Jerry Flannery and Mike Sherry all contenders for a front row berth and Fogarty insists it's the right time to move.
"The opportunity was there for me to remain but I feel the time is right for me to look for a new challenge," he said.
"You don't leave a squad like Munster without giving it a great deal of thought. It's been a huge part of my life and I've really enjoyed my time here.I've learnt a lot and made lifelong friends who I will miss.
"I'm grateful to [Aurillac coach] Jeremy Davidson for providing me with that challenge and its one I'm looking forward to."
