A number of groundbreaking initiatives have been introduced for the first time, with an incredible buy one, get one free deal available on all memberships, be it a renewal, a new member, or a lapsed member returning, and supporters keen to take advantage of the fantastic offer have been snapping up memberships at an unprecedented rate.
The Liberty Stadium Ticket Office has dealt with a constant flow of traffic over the last 10 days, while the internet and traditional media have been abuzz with positive comment on the offering from the Ospreys.
According to Chief Operations Officer, Andrew Hore, the reaction to the buy one, get one free offer, has exceeded expectations:
"It's been little short of phenomenal" he said.
"We worked hard to find the right package for 2012/13, one that rewarded existing members while encouraging casual fans or those who for whatever reason have allowed their membership to lapse to reinvest in the cause.
"To be honest, we're delighted with the response that we've had to the initiative. Our agreed priority is to increase crowds at the Liberty Stadium next season. We've seen over the last couple of home games what a difference it makes to the team, and to the matchday experience for fans, to have the place buzzing with excitement. We want to tap into that and generate that kind of excitement here week in, week out.
"The initial response has exceeded all our expectations. To go past 50 per cent of this year's final total inside just 10 days, before the final game of the current season has even played, is incredible and the sheer volume of calls and emails we are getting combined with the talk on message boards and social media suggests that we are a long way from satisfying demand yet and business should continue to be brisk over the coming weeks and months.
"We are still four months away from the start of 2012/13 and when you look at it in that context, it makes it even more exciting that we can already say that we are past the halfway mark on 2011/12 figures. To be able to see that the rugby public in Ospreylia can recognise that hard work being put in behind the scenes to give them a team to be proud of, and to make supporting their region affordable to everyone, is a fantastic boost for the Ospreys."
A 2012/13 membership makes perfect sense for even the most casual of Ospreys fans. Prices start at just £165 pp, which works out at just £9.70 a match, a saving of over 50 per cent on matchday admission, at a cost of just 45p a day. In addition, all paying members can register a friend or relative for a free membership, while also qualifying for a range of incredible benefits including a £50 voucher for the Ospreys Club Shop (existing members registering a new member for free - new members can also register a free member and will receive a £25 voucher).
