His performances led to a call up to the Grand Slam-winning Wales squad as he proved a pivotal part of the Ospreys side which secured second place in the table ahead of the RaboDirect PRO12 play-offs.
And Beck insisted his main aim was to continue his form into his side's play-off semi-final against Munster on Friday.
"I have never expected what has happened to me this season," he told Wales Online.
"When I was training hard last summer, my main aim was to be a regular starter for the Ospreys.
"I have really enjoyed playing for this region and it is exciting the opportunities and accolades I have received. I have gained more confidence.
"When you are playing for your semi-professional side like Aberavon, there is not much pressure on you because you can go out there and enjoy yourself.
"When I first started playing for the Ospreys, I did not want to try things in case I made a mistake and was thrown back in the Premiership.
"But I have learned not to try and play any differently so it is nice to hear compliments.
"But I still have a job to do at the Ospreys and hopefully I can do that against Munster.
"These are the sort of games you want to play in and I am looking forward to it.
"It is big for the region to get into these semi-finals and to have a home tie.
"We let ourselves down in the Heineken Cup this year so this is a big chance to pick up some silverware at the end of the season."
