And this has extended to tight-head prop Kalman, who last week starred as Scotland A thumped England Saxons 35-0 before making his debut for the senior side as he came off the bench in yesterday's Six Nations loss to Wales.
Kalman had earlier earned praise for a stirring display against European champions Leinster in the Heineken Cup, all of which has amounted to the 29-year-old extended his stay at Glasgow until at least the end of May 2014.
And Kalman expressed his delight at his new deal as he looks to help the club continue its rise.
"I'm really happy to have signed a new contract, and to know that I'm going involved in the exciting times ahead at the club," Kalman told the Glasgow Warriors website.
"It's been an enjoyable season so far, both on a personal and a team level, and there's plenty to look forward to in terms of the challenges coming up in the next few months.
"There's a fantastic environment at the Warriors, a really positive team spirit and willingness to work hard for one another.
"That comes across in the way we're performing on the pitch, and it's a great thing to be part of."
