Another cup final for Edinburgh

Moffat's men travel to South Wales with a Play-Off place in their grasp, although the affable Scotsman knows all that could change if results don't go their way over the coming weeks.

Edinburgh are currently fourth in the Magners League table with three games of the regular season left to play, with only points difference separating them from third-placed Munster.

But with the Dragons themselves just six points behind in sixth spot, Moffat knows a slip up on Sunday would mean facing an even greater challenge to reach the final four.

"This is a cup final for us and all the games are like that from now on," said Moffat, who took over the reigns at Edinburgh at the beginning of this season following Andy Robinson's departure for the Scottish national job.

"We go there to perform and we go there to win. If we lose this one then we might not have another cup final to look forward to."

Edinburgh arrive at Rodney Parade on the back of a disappointing defeat to Connacht last time out.

Moffat watched his side fall to a 22-21 reverse at the league's bottom club and he knows a major improvement will be needed to secure a win at one of the toughest venues in the competition.

"We were disappointed with the Connacht game. We let ourselves down, we let the supporters down and we let the club down, so it's very important that we go down to the Dragons and really perform," added Moffat, whose team were beaten by a single point in the reverse fixture in November.

"We have great respect for the Dragons, especially at home. They've had some good results and are up there in the league. They're pushing for a few things, with an automatic spot in Europe and the Play-Offs as well.

"We won't underestimate them and we'll expect a hard, physical game, as we always get down there.

"But we can win away from home against virtually any team - we've shown that - so playing away from home doesn't hold any fears for us."
