The injury is not to the knee which kept him out after the 2005 Lions tour and it is not thought that the injury is serious and not a re-accruing injury. However, Shanklin will be out of action for up to 6 to 8 weeks which means he will out for the rest of the season. As a precaution the knee will be cleaned out.
Gareth Cooper will be seeing a specialist this week to be what needs to be done to treat a persistent groin injury while Sam Norton Knight has an injury to a disc in his back.
