Captain Quintin Geldenhuys will lead his side out on home soil for only the second time this season after two successive weekends on the road and the Italian lock is looking forward to creating a storm when the Scots come to town.

"We have targeted this game and we are going to go out and have a real go at them," said Geldenhuys.

"It is a big match for our squad and we are really looking forward to being at home. The place was packed for the opening game against Ulster and we are hoping for a repeat - we really want the same buzz around the ground.

"A lot of guys played a full 80 minutes in the opening three games, so a couple were kept back against the Ospreys to rest niggles and to allow them to recover before the Edinburgh game.

"We have got 11 players out injured at the moment, so it is important we look after the squad and use it wisely."

The Viadana-based side started the season brightly, pushing Munster and Ulster all the way in their opening games, but found it hard going in Wales over last fortnight as they were beaten by the Scarlets and then the Ospreys.

"The Magners League is a fantastic competition to be involved in, but we have a lot of youngsters that need time to get used to the physicality and speed of the game at this level.

"It is coming though, we can all feel that, and we are not far away.

"It has been hard playing quite a few games away but we are all looking forward to Saturday and hopefully we can put a few things right on the field.

"Edinburgh are a very good side with a lot of experience. W e just want to show everyone exactly what we are capable of."
