The Italian outfit will arrive in Swansea full of confidence and Jones has made it clear that there is absolutely no chance of the Ospreys taking them lightly in Round 2.
"I think the Italian sides will pretty much bring the same as the national team; a big pack, a big scrum and a driving lineout. They will be very physical," said Jones, who will miss the Liberty Stadium encounter as he continues his preparations for a long season ahead.
"It may be a case of being strong for the first 20 minutes of each half and then maybe using our experience from there.
"Treviso had a good result last week. The result didn't surprise me too much, though.
"The Scarlets would have fancied it and maybe should have won out there but it was Treviso's first game in a new competition, there was a hell of a crowd there and they were revved up. It wasn't unexpected."
While Treviso began with a bang in Week 1, the Ospreys got off to a far more somber start.
The reigning champions were beaten 27-26 by Ulster at Ravenhill as they failed to match last season's bonus-point success at the same venue.
And the Ospreys weren't the only Welsh side to come unstuck, with the Scarlets experiencing the most-publicised defeat and the Dragons shipping 40 points in Connacht.
Only the Blues got off to a winning start but that isn't overly worrying Welsh international Jones.
"It wasn't a great weekend for the Welsh sides, with only the Blues getting the win, but it is early doors," added Jones.
"We knew it would be hard to go out there and beat Ulster but we do expect to go out to those places and win. Even with players not playing we should expect to go out and beat them.
"It was a tough game, a few things didn't go our way, but hopefully we can get a good result on Friday and keep building from there."
