More than 40,000 tickets have been sold for the mouth-watering encounter between the 2008 and 2009 Magners League Champions after the game was switched from the RDS to the Ireland's new national stadium.
The match will be the first competitive rugby fixture at the brand new Aviva Stadium, nearly four years after Lansdowne Road closed its doors for the last time.
Ironically, it is that famous old ground that holds the current record, with 48,000 people watching Leinster say goodbye to the stadium in style with victory over Ulster on New Year's Eve 2006.
Leinster were 20-12 victors over the then reigning Magners League Champions on that occasion and new head coach Joe Schmidt would no doubt settle for a similar scoreline against Munster.
Leinster have won the last four matches between the two great rivals, with those successes including a 2009 Heineken Cup semi-final triumph and a Magners League Play-Off win last May.
Tickets for next month's match up, which kicks off at 7.30pm, can be purchased by visiting the official Leinster website at www.leinsterrugby.ie.
