Glasgow eye Leinster's top spot

Sean Lineen's Scottish side have been on top of the table four times this season and have a place in the Play-Offs, and the inaugural Magners League Grand Final on Saturday, May 29, very much in their sites.

And after battling back to secure a draw in Connacht in Round 13, they will be looking to maintain their unbeaten record against Irish opposition this season when they travel to the RDS for a re-arranged match on Thursday, March 18.

The game will come two days before many of the star players in the two sides meet at Croke Park in the final round of the RBS 6 Nations, when Ireland entertain Scotland, but the importance of the midweek clash between the two clubs will be nonetheless vitally important.

Glasgow Warriors' away form this season has been hugely impressive, with 16 of their 33 points to date coming on the road.

They've also enjoyed picking up points against Irish opposition, with 15 secured in four games thanks to three wins and a draw.

All four Irish provinces will stage home games in the build-up to the RBS 6 Nations finale and the results will be critical in the race for Play-Off places.

If Glasgow Warriors can beat Leinster then they will go back to the top of the table, although there could be more major movement in the Play-Off Zone over the space of three days.

The Dragons could move into the top four with a bonus point win at Connacht on Wednesday night, while Munster need a home win over the Scarlets at Cork's Musgrave Park to take them back into Play-Off territory.

The Scarlets' first aim will be to bridge the two-point gap that exists between them and eighth placed Cardiff Blues as they make up the game in hand on their Welsh rivals and a bonus point victory could see them jump two places.

That may be a tough ask, but anything seems possible in the Magners League this season, which is turning into the most competitive in the nine-year history of the tournament following the introduction of the Play-Offs.
