Glasgow triumph was 'massive' says Munster veteran

The reigning Magners League Champions were 27-19 victors over their fellow Play-Off hopefuls at Thomond Park as they moved into second place in the standings.

And O'Driscoll, who is now just six appearances short of 100 Magners League caps, believes beating one of their closest rivals will have a hugely positive impact on the rest of their season.

"In our last three games, we've had two average home wins and a bad beating away from home, so this was a massive win for us," said O'Driscoll, following nervy victories over Edinburgh and the Scarlets and a 30-point hammering at the Dragons.

"The scrums and the set-piece for us are an area we just need to improve and keep working on, and these things take time and we think we're getting there.

"The Glasgow team are a very good side and denying them the bonus point was a big thing for us.

""It's a good step forward for us. We've four regular league games to go and a win next week would put us right up there again."

The first of those four remaining games comes at home to Irish rivals Leinster this coming Friday.

A bonus-point victory over the 2008 Magners League Champs would see O'Driscoll and co replace the Dubliners at the top of the table, with a home tie against the Ospreys then sandwiched between trips to Connacht and the Cardiff Blues.
