The former Viadana coach, who has been joined by ex-Wales defence and Neath coach Rowland Phillips in his back room staff, had 24 of his 42 players to work with in Lavadera Village, the headquarters of the Italian national side.
Aironi and Benetton Treviso will be joining the Magners League this season and have been busy putting together highly competitive squads for the new campaign.
"Coaching in the Magners League is pretty exciting for me. It will be a very tough adventure, but we will face it with a group of experienced Italian players," said Bernini.
"We need to work on technical skills, but this group knows that working hard with Aironi will give them the chance to move up into the Italian team. I think we should finish in the middle of the Magners League table and that is an important target for us."
Aironi's coaching staff is completed by Andrea Moretti, who won 13 caps for Italy and will coach the forwards, and Antonio Zanichelli and Andrew Scotney, who will look after the backs.
