Young was left frustrated by the Blues performance but delighted to see them get back to winning ways after two home Magners League losses.
And now Young hopes the Blues can build on the triumph with Munster, Newport Gwent Dragons and the Ospreys all on the horizon in a busy December.
"It's still frustrating, we're not playing anything like we can," said Young.
"We left it until the last minute to secure the bonus point and we would've been kicking ourselves if wer didn't get it.
"We're playing a lot of rugby, building our game and producing opportunities but we're not taking them.
"But we got the win and hopefully that will give us confidence moving on, because when you don't pick up results confidence and belief begin to go.
"It's certainly a happy dressing room but a realistic dressing room as well. We got as much as we could out of the game with maximum points, but we're still not playing like we can.
"With games coming up hopefully we can take that confidence, but a realism as well, that we need to pick our game up in all areas really.
"Although we're not where we want to be, we're certainly in a better position than we were this time last season."
