Paterson, who is Scotland's record point scorer, has already registered 55-points in just six Magners League games this year, a clear sign he has fully recovered from his lengthy absence.
"I think the time away has actually helped me to rejuvenate myself," said Paterson.
"My goal in my recent life was to get to 100 caps and ever since I've been lucky enough to achieve it I just want off it.
"It's a milestone that I'm hugely honoured and lucky to achieve, but I want as far away from it now as possible.
"I want to add to that as many times as I can.
"What we have to do is not look back, but look forward, learn from last week and start well on Saturday."
