Allori helped Edinburgh to a fourth-place finish in Andy Robinson's first season of Magners League rugby as Edinburgh won nine and drew three of their 18 games.
Having moved to Scotland from Benetton Treviso, Allori rejoined the Italian side in the summer of 2008 and has played in four of their seven Magners League games to date.
But after featuring in the opening day win over the Scarlets, Allori is yet to taste further success having missed the triumphs over Leinster, Connacht and the Dragons.
The 31-year-old hopes that will change this evening as Treviso target their first win on the road at his old stomping ground.
"I remember the 2007 as a very positive season in Edinburgh," said Allori, who starts at loosehead prop at Murrayfield.
"I have a really wonderful feeling when I look back at that experience and remember my time in Scotland.
"We finished fourth but, at that time, the Play-Off system wasn't in place.
"Edinburgh still play a very good game and are extremely aggressive and physical. It will be a close game on Friday and there will probably be some wind and rain! But we are now used to that kind of game in those conditions so I think we will be okay."
