The Ireland and British & Irish Lions back row forward underwent X-Rays after the injury and was told he will require surgery that will sidleine him for at least 6 -8 weeks.

It means he will definitely miss Ulster's final Magners League game against Connacht on Friday night and is more or less bound to be ruled out of Ireland's summer tour to Australia and New Zealand.
