Lineen, who has been involved in Celtic and Magners League rugby for the past seven years, has no doubt that the standard is on the rise.
That improvement has been even more obvious this season with the introduction of the Play-Offs - a system that Lineen believes has benefited players, coaches and supporters alike.
"The Play-Offs are fantastic - they really concentrate your mind," said Lineen, who takes his side to the Liberty Stadium to face the Ospreys this Friday.
"To be able to be involved in them as a coach, I'm very privileged.
"The Scottish team's have taken a few years to get up there but both Edinburgh and Glasgow are now in the mix. We're fighting well and we're producing a lot of good rugby players so long may it continue.
"The standard of the Magners League is going up and up all the time. It's such a great competition."
