With big-name players such as Shane Williams, Lee Byrne, Tommy Bowe, James Hook and Mike Phillips in a star-studded backline it is often nine to 15 that make the headlines for the Liberty Stadium outfit.
But, while Bowe and Byrne both crossed for first-half tries in Dublin, it was the Ospreys pack who paved the way for an historic third Magners League crown.
Humphreys' opposite number Jono Gibbes and Leinster captain Shane Jennings had already spoken of the Ospreys' dominance at the breakdown during their own post-match press conference and the Welshman was equally positive when it came to his own assessment.
"I thought our forwards were outstanding," said Humphreys after the 17-12 triumph in the final club game of the season.
"They came up against a pretty experienced bunch in Leinster and everything that we talked about executing, we did to a tee.
"Perhaps we were a little unlucky in a couple of scrums, but the one thing that you never doubt with this team and, from my point of view, the forward pack, is their resilience and how much they work for each other.
"Everything we've tried to encapsulate in the culture, is represented in the eight or 12 forwards that went out there tonight."
