Lineen said: "Treviso are a tough team and their defence is outstanding. They fill the field well and make it hard for you to score.
"They are a combination of the likes of Connacht and Munster, and funnily enough they are the two teams we've lost to at home, so we've got to make sure we go out with the right attitude."
Lineen is also delighted with the return of so many Scotland stars as the Warriors gear up for a December to Remember.
"It's great to see some of the Scotland players come back. They really want to play.
"We've got a massive month coming up so to have the likes of Graeme Morrison and Richie Gray back this weekend, both of whom are crucial to how we play, is massive."
Friday night's game against Treviso is followed by back-to-back matches against reigning champions Toulouse (the first of which is at home on Friday 10 December (kick-off 8pm) before the month culminates with the 1872 Cup derbies against Edinburgh.
"For me it starts on Friday," Lineen continued. "But then we have a double over European champions Toulouse followed by our good old enemy Edinburgh.
"That's five incredibly competitive games and players are competing for places and want to be part of those matches."
Following last weekend's disappointing away loss to Cardiff, Lineen hopes to have his team back firing on all cylinders in order to revive the kind of performances that earned them a place in the inaugural play-offs last season.
"We need to win on Friday night and get things back on track. We need to make sure we get our game right on Friday and get back to the Glasgow we all know and love."
Although boosted by the return of six out of their eight Scotland players, the Warriors continue to be affected by injury.
Both Calum Forrester and Rob Dewey face lengthy absences as they sustained a dislocated knee and a dislocated shoulder respectively during last weekend's game against Cardiff.
