Connacht v Munster refixed

The move was necessary as to allow maximum time for the pitch to thaw out following a night of heavy frost and freezing temperatures at the Sportsground. Connacht management, in consultation with Munster officials and tournament organisers reached the decision this afternoon following a pitch inspection.

The straw that was laid on the pitch helped minimise the impact of the Arctic conditions during the week but was unable to prevent the playing surface from freezing during last night's -13C weather.
Connacht Rugby would like to inform supporters that all tickets purchased for the game will be valid for the refix.
