Bath looked to be in control of this Pool 4 encounter until a dramatic comeback from the hosts.
To the delight of the Ravenhill faithful, Ulster fought back from 15-3 down to take the victory and made it two wins from three so far in the competition.
Predie Wannenburg scored Ulster's only try and Ian Humprheys kicked the conversion to add to his five penalties.
Scarlets 35 v 27 Benetton Treviso
The Scarlets won this thrilling encounter in South Wales, which will go some way to banishing the memoires of the early season defeat the Welsh side suffered at the hands of their Italian opponents in the Magners League.
Sean Lamont scored a brace with Regan King and Josh Turnball also getting on the score sheet for the hosts and clinching the bonus point. Stephen Jones kicked five points before being forced off and after his departure Rhys Priestland kicked a further ten points.
Tommaso Benvenuti kept up his incredible scoring record and his touchdown made it five tries in just 3 European appearances. Gonzalo Garcia and Fabio Semenzato all scored tries and Kris Burton added 1 points with the boot.
A disappointing result for Treviso after a confident game on the road but they have home advantage next weekend when the teams meet once again.
Northampton Saints 23 v 15 Cardiff Blues
Cardiff Blues came out on the wrong side of a fierce battle at Franklin's Garden but will take confidence from the game ahead of the return fixture.
Five Dan Parks penalties made up the score for the visitors but the Amlin Challenge Cup Champions will be looking for more next weekend.
Castres Olympique 21 v 16 Edinburgh
Edinburgh came away with a valuable bonus point from Castres but deserved much more.
On his Heineken Cup return Simon Webster crossed for a try and Chris Paterson kicked eight points. Scrum half Greig Laidlaw also added a long range penalty.
But with three defeats out of three so far it is going to be a mighty uphill struggle to qualify from the group.
Munster 22 v 16 Ospreys
Munster came out on top of this fierce battle between one of Europe's most successful clubs and the current Magners League Champions.
The home side rarely lose at Thomond Park and the Ospreys pushed them all the way.
Munster outscored their victories by three tries to one, Doug Howlett, Johne Murphy and David Wallace all touching down. Ronan O'Gara didn't have his best day with the boot but added seven points which saw his side home.
The Ospreys only try came from Irishman Tommy Bowe and Dan Biggar kicked 11 points.
Newport Gwent Dragons 16 v 23 London Wasps
The Dragons were forced to switch the game to Cardiff City Stadium and nearly upset the former European Champions.
Paul Turner's men will be disappointed not to come away with the win after causing Wasps endless problems all afternoon.
Captain Ashley Smith scored the Welsh side's only try and Jason Tovey kicked 11-points.
ASM Clermont Auvergne 20 v 13 Leinster
Leinster collected a valuable losing bonus point but could have had so much more against the French Champions.
Shane Horgan scored the only try for Leinster and Johnny Sexton added eight points.
Leinster's bonus point keeps them at the helm of Pool 2 and will be in confident mood welcoming Clermont to Dublin next weekend.
Harlequins 20 v 9 Connacht (Amlin Challenge Cup)
Connacht travelled to the Stoop in the Amlin Challenge Cup but were beaten by a clinical Harlequins side.
Three penalties from Miah Nikora was all Connacht had to show for their efforts in this Pool 1 clash.
The Irish side sit in third place in the pool and require a win next weekend when Harlequins visit Galway.
