Lineen's men slipped to another reverse in the second round of European action at London Wasps on Sunday but the former Scotland centre was able to find something to smile about despite his over-riding sense of frustration.
"Rory Jackson had an outstanding game - he was very good at No10. Richie Vernon had a very good first half; Richie Gray put himself about and, in broken play, Max Evans did a lot of good things," said Lineen after the 38-26 defeat at Adams Park.
"So there are some individuals who are putting their hands up - we just need to get everyone gelling a bit more.
"We're missing our eight, our nine and our captain, three key positions. We're just not quite getting enough decisions right. We're getting some right, but not enough.
"But they're working bloody hard. We've just got to get the little things right a lot more often."
Glasgow conceded three first-half tries against the double Heineken Cup Champions in Wycombe and were chasing the game as soon Joe Simpson scored Wasps' first with just seven minutes played.
The Warriors dominated the closing stages and were barely out of the Wasps 22 for the final 15 minutes but ultimately they left with nothing to show for their hard work.
"The first 20 or 25 minutes killed us - it just took the wind out of our sails a little bit. It's great that we came back a bit but it's a bonus-point victory to Wasps, which I'm not very happy about," added Lineen.
"I thought we had a very poor first half. We hung off them when they weren't doing anything special, they were just being very direct.
"Our scrum wasn't as good as I thought it would be; the tries we conceded were too soft; a couple of times we were in the T zone and just handed the ball back to them and ended up at the other end losing points.
"It was very frustrating because, in the last 20 minutes, we showed a lot of spirit. By then, Wasps had won the game, though, so you've got to take that with a pinch of salt as they'd dropped down a gear."
Glasgow's next chance to put things right comes this Sunday when they face reigning Magners League Champions the Ospreys at Firhill.
